The Brisbane Bandits announced that Dutch closer, Loek van Mil, who is currently playing with the Brisbane Bandits in the Australian Baseball League, is hospitalized after suffering a serious head injury.
Loek got the head injury in a non-baseball related accident. He is hospitalized in a hospital in Canberra.
Loek appeared in just one game in the past weekend in which he earned the save for the Brisbane Bandits.
Baseball Australia and the Brisbane Bandits will provide updates on Loek’s condition in consultation with his family when appropriate.
