The Fresno Grizzlies will have a tribute to Springfield promotion on June 29 when they take on the Albuquerque Isotopes. With this promotion, the Grizzlies will wear the Simpsons based jerseys with drawings in the style of the cartoon series.
Likely it is no coincidence the Grizzlies are wearing these jerseys as they take on the Albuquerque Isotopes. The name Isotopes has been derived from the Simpsons. When the Calgary Cannons moved to Albuquerque in 2003, the club opted for the name Isotopes as a tribute to the cartoon series. In their ballpark there several referrals to Homer and his family.
According to the Grizzlies website, the club will celebrate all things the Simpsons and don special donut-themed jerseys that will be auctioned for charity in a silent auction during the game.
During the game, there will be a Wise Fools Simpsons art show in the Cantina.
