New team in Central Florida
With the move of the Brevard County Manatees to Kissimee in Central Florida a new brand was needed for the A Advanced (Florida State League) Braves affiliation.
Yesterday the club presented its new name and the new logos.
After a name the team contest the team has chosen for the name of Flordia FireFrogs.

“We’re excited to unveil the team’s new name, which we feel represents the geographic diversity of our fan base, has a hometown feel and speaks to the fun, vibrant experience our fans will enjoy at games,” said Team President Joe Harrington. “We’re working on creating a fun and entertaining promotional schedule for our inaugural season at Osceola County Stadium next year, and we continue to be overwhelmed by the positive response from the community and our fans.”
A red frog, surrounded by flames, is the centerpiece of the team’s new identity, surrounded with traditional lettering to make up the team’s primary mark. The team’s
colors are fire red, navel orange, and golden sun.
The club introduces a set of logos containing a family of fire frogs. Next to the father fire frog (on the right), there is a mother, a kid and a somewhat misfit, a horned bull frog. The horned bull frog though is a link to the central Floridan
traditon of bull riding/rodeo.
News of the team’s new name is just the latest in a series of announcements. Last month, the team announced a four-year player development contract with the Atlanta Braves. The contract will run through the 2020 season. The team’s inaugural season at Osceola County Stadium will start April 6
against the Daytona Tortugas.
The Florida State League team, formerly the Brevard County Manatees, as mentioned in the introduction, will move from Space Coast Stadium into its new home at Osceola County Stadium in 2017. Osceola County last had a Class-A Florida State
League franchise in 2000 with the Kissimmee Cobras. The team is under the leadership of President Joe Harrington.
The main logo will be the father fire frog. It is not clear when the alternate logos will be used. With the presentation of the
new name and the new logos, the club also unveiled a set of caps.
The home cap is in fire red showing the main logo on the front of the crown.
The alternate 1 cap is in the same shade of red but it is showing the horned bull frog.
The alternate 2 cap is a black cap with the main logo on the front of the crown.
And if that is not enough, there is a fourth cap, the alternate 3 cap which sports the same logo as the home cap.

The road cap is a black more traditional cap that sports a gray F on the front of the crown in the font in which the team name is written.

The logos showing the mother fire frog and the kid fire frog will likely be worn on the sleeves of the (alternate) jerseys. With that many alternate caps, there will be several alternate jerseys for sure.
