The Dutch baseball hangout and Strike Zone team up
The Dutch baseball hangout and Strike Zone have agreed on teaming up in a tactical partnership.
Strike Zone is a soon to build indoor baseball and softball facility where you can practice your hitting all year.
Right now Strike Zone needs an additional €20,000 to realize the plans. Therefore the owners have started a crowd funding campaign of which you can see the link left in the menu under the head Advertisements.
If you donate money you will baptize the new facility with the others that have donated (depending on the amount that you have given. One thing is for sure, you will get a give back anyway). The crowd funding campaign will run for another sixteen days (until July 3rd, 2016). Please be aware that if the projected amount will not be reached, the founders will send back the money (minus 2% transaction fee).
As written above, Strike Zone will be a state of the art indoor facility where you can practice hitting year around.
The facility will be located in the community of Lijnden, near Amsterdam and Haarlem, close to the highways A4, A5 and A9. The facility will be accessible for players that play on a recreational level but also for top baseball and softball players. The most modern equipment and techniques will be accessible for bee ball players (tee ball) upt to seniors (veterans).
In the batting cages you can adapt the speed of the pitching machines from a distance and on the LCD wall, you will see a pitcher making his wind up.
Strike Zone will also use Hit Trax: A powerfull combination of analysis and entertainment. The Hit Trax system follows thrown and hit balls and calculates the distance to project this on a big screen. You can choose an MLB stadium for a virtual training. In this way you can organize a homerun derby with your friends. You can also play a Hit Trax competition against other teams anywhere in the world. The Hit Trax system will be expanded with an integrated camera, so if you rent the Hit Trax, you will get the camera analysis with it.
This is what Strike Zone is about: Technique at your service so you can improve as a ball player and get the best out of yourself. And while you are training, it will be a lot of fun too. It will also be possible for teams to practice at Strike Zone.
