No, no, it is not as shocking as the head tells you. But the head of this blog post is true nevertheless.
Tom Dickson, owner of the Montgomery Biscuits is also owner of PCL, a professional catering company specialized in catering and concessions at minor league ballparks.
In this case PCL has struck a deal with Trustman Park, home of the Mississippi Braves. The Montgomery Biscuits are playing in the North Division of the Southern League, while the Braves are playing in the South Division.
It was announced that PSC will manage all aspects of the food operation at Trustmark Park, including concessions, catering and staffing for every event at the ballpark.
PSC and the Mississippi Braves are preparing a series of upgrades throughout the park whichs includes new specialty food carts, revitalized branded food options, and most importantly, all food items cooked fresh in front of fans.
Those specialty food carts are a common sight at Riverwalk Stadium, home of the Biscuits (see photo on the left).
PSC was founded in 2006 and since then the company has grown tremendously as it serves the following minor league clubs:
Reno Aces, Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, OKC Dodgers, Frisco RoughRiders, Tulsa Drillers, Quad Cities River Bandits, Kane County Cougars, Peoria Chiefs, Bowling Green HotRods, Montgomery Biscuits, South Bend Cubs, Erie Seawolves, Lansing Lugnuts (also owned by Dickson), State College Spikes, New Hampshire FisherCats, Greensboro Grasshoppers, Asheville Tourists and the Gwinnett Braves. Next to these affiliated clubs, the company also serves two independent clubs, the Lincoln SaltDogs (American Association) and the Saint Paul Saints (also American Association). The company also serves two Spring Training complexes, Goodyear Ballpark (home of the Cincinnati Reds and Cleveland Indians) and Peoria Sports Complex (home of the San Diego Padres and the Seattle Mariners) both in the Cactus League.
Me too. The Biscuits had the best uniforms in MiLB with the sleeveless jerseys and the yellow caps. Too bad that they don’t sport them anymore.
