Lots of moves for Corendon Kinheim and Vaessen Pioniers, not so much for DSS

Corendon Kinheim and Vaessen Pioniers both have seen a lot of players leave.

The Haarlem based club has seen the following players leave. Pim Walsma will leave for the third team of L&D Amsterdam Pirates (called the Mokum Hawks). Mervin Gario will head to Hoofddorp to join Pioniers. First baseman Jeffrey Arends will join Oosterhout Twins. Pitcher Sven van de Sanden will cross the street and join neighbor DSS. But the biggest blow for Kinheim is the loss of catcher and power hitter Dashenko Ricardo who has joined Curacao Neptunus.

Kinheim will see one player in return. Relief pitcher Reggie Bomberg. Bomberg posted a 2-2 record with a 7.00 ERA and an opposing batting average of .316.

Kinheim will also have a new manager after previous manager, Wim Martinus decided to step down as manager. His replacement will be coach Mike Crouwel.

Also Vaessen Pioniers saw a lot of players leave. Twelve players have turned their back on the Hoofdklasse team:
pitcher Reggie Bomberg (Corendon Kinheim as stated above), pitcher Dennis Buring (Hoofddorp Pioniers 2), pitcher Bayron Cornelisse (to Curaçao Neptunus), pitcher Elton Koeiman (to Twins), catcher Glenn Bakker (to RCH-Pinguïns), infielder Djewi Appelman (to Sparks Haarlem), infielder/catcher Daniel Fernandes (back to Curaçao Neptunus), infielder Vince Rooi (to HCAW), infielder Kevin Weijgertse ( to HCAW) and outfielder Danny Rombley (to L&D Amsterdam Pirates).

Dirk van ‘t Klooster and Mark-Jan Moorman decided to hang up their spikes.

The team from Hoofddorp will have a new manager as well as the club decided to release Robert Klaver from his duties.

New players are: pitcher Chris Pfau (from Double Stars Heiloo, playing in the Overgangsklasse),  pitcher Maickel Rietel (from HCAW), catcher/3rd baseman Brian Raap (from Mampaey The Hawks), first baseman Shurman Marlin (from Curaçao Neptunus), infielder Mervin Gario (from Corendon Kinheim), infielder Stephen Henson (from Mampaey The Hawks), infielder Shavently Profar (from Tridents, farm team of Curacao Neptunus), outfielder Brennan Nijhof (from UVV) and outfielder Mark Smit (from DSS). Infielder Austin Weymouth, who played for UVV in the Hoofdklasse in the past, is also a newbie. Infielder Zerzinho Croes will make his comeback. He decided to hang up his spikes after the 2014 season.

New manager of the team will be Dé Flanegin, former player of the club. He will be supported by pitching coach Eric de Vries. Recently it was announced that Pioniers has struck a deal with RCH-Pinguins from Heemsteede. Both clubs agreed on exchanging players. Eric de Vries will also be pitching coach for the rookies of Pioniers and of RCH-Pinguins which is playing in the Overgangsklasse.

DSS, the neighbor of Corendon Kinheim saw also a few players leave.

Those who left the club are outfielder Mark Smit (to Vaessen Pioniers), catcher Levine Gabriëls (to HCAW) and catcher Sven Jongejans (to UVV). Pitcher Jorn van Ingen has retired.
Pitcher Kevin Bosch and catcher Shane Boeree decided to step down to the Rookie League-team of DSS.

The new players
Sven van de Sanden has played in 33 games in the 2015 season for neighbor Corendon Knheim where he hit .255, collecting 25 hits (of which five doubles). He also drove in 11 runs.
Pitcher Gijs Timmer, catcher Ruben Prins and infielder Menno Lenting all come from Tridents, the rookie league team of Curacao Neptunus.
