Summing up the Dutchies per MLB organization: New York Mets
In “Summing up the Dutchies per MLB organization” another short one this time. I will pay attention to the:
Number of Dutchies: 1
Nelmerson Angela:
Nelmerson is the sole Dutchie who is playing in the Mets organization. The 17-year old is a left handed pitcher who made his first strides in professional baseball this year. So far he has played eight games in the Dominican Summer League. He debuted with a loss vs the DSL Yankees. He entered the fifth inning and gave up one run on one hit. He also walked two and struck out two. But since then his ERA is going down steadily. In his last game on August 19, the Curacaoan gave up two runs on five hits, which raised his ERA to 2.70. His WHIP stands at 1.13 and he is keeping his opponents to a rather low .200.
Shervyen Newton is the other Dutchie in the Mets organization but he has just been signed and hasn’t played a game yet. In the RBI League on Curacao Shervyen has played for the Monrepos Tigers and was a shortstop for that team and occasionally he pitched a game.
