2025 Belgian Division One: Adaption on Previous Post

Based on the date shown on the website of the KBBSF (Royal Belgian Baseball and Softball Federation), yours truly draw conclusions that are not correct. This blog post is a correction on that erroneous blog post.

Since the data on the aforementioned website only showed play off games on August 30 and further, this blog drew the conclusion that between last weekend and August 30, no further games would be played between the top four teams. The KBBSF and Hunter Cooper, utility player of the Brasschaat Braves, informed me that this is incorrect.

From August second, the top four will still play a series of games, just to decide who will have the home field advantage in the first round of the play offs. In this extra round, each team will face the other twice. The final weekend of this extra round will be the weekend of August 16.

Based on the final standings of the first half of the competition, it is very likely that Hoboken Pioneers will finish in first place again. But for the second place in the extra round, everything is still possible.
