Mississippi Mud Monsters Are The Newest Addition to The Frontier League
After the Mississippi Braves announced their departure from Pearl MS, to head to Columbus GA, it did not take long before the void was filled. Early September, the independent Frontier League announced it would add Pearl as new franchise to the league.
Two days ago, the club announced the new name and logos. After a name the team contest, three names remained and the fans could choose their favorite. The three names were Mud Monsters, Soul Shakers, and Grits. The new name that was chosen is Mississippi Mud Monsters.
The new logo shows a (kind of) catfish. The colors are two shades of teal, black, and yellow.
There is a variety of logos as you can see below.
According to sportslogos.net, Mississippi is home to twelve different species of catfish.
The nice thing about the logo that the mascot does not only holds a bat, but it also has a baseball in its mouth.

I assume that the second and third logo from the top will be the cap logos, but time will tell.
For sure I am looking forward to the merch and especially the on-field caps.

More information will follow as soon as the club will unveil its look.
