Holland Series 2014: Game 4 probables
vs
After Thursday’s game, DOOR Neptunus got back into the series. Diegomar Markwell handed the victory to the team from Rotterdam with a dominant outing.
Today game four will be played in Amsterdam. Who will Charles Urbanus (manager of L&D Amsterdam Pirates) and Evert-Jan ‘t Hoen (manager of DOOR Neptunus) send to the mound?
It is very likely that the starters of last Sunday will start today: Orlando Yntema for Neptunus and Rob Cordemans for Pirates. But…. I wonder if Rob Cordemans will start and if he does how long will he remain in the game. A few weeks ago, Rob burned his pitching hand. After it cured he started to throw too fast too soon (his statement on TV). He pitched four innings for the Dutch national team in the championship game of the the European Cup. He would tell manager Steve Janssen when his arm started to bother him.
Last Sunday he also ptched four innings. But it is not clear if he was bothered by his arm again or that just the number of pitches was enough (72).

In the meantime it became clear that the KNBSB didn’t deal with the cases of the players that were tossed last Sunday. This means that Diegomar Markwell and Kalian Sams of Neptunus and Chris Mowday of Pirates still can play. The KNBSB will deal with these cases after the Holland Series. IMO this is a big disadvantage for L&D Amsterdam. The players were tossed from a Holland Series game and they should be punished during the Holland Series. A strange decision by the baseball federation. And I am not the only one with this opinion.
