Misja Harcksen Will Return to Oosterhout Twins For the 2024 Dutch Hoofdklasse Season

After being left off the roster of Curacao Neptunus for the 2023 season, due to an injury sustained during a moped accident, Misja Harcksen will return to the Dutch Hoofdklasse. Oosterhout Twins announced that the former minor league pitcher will join the club next season.

In 2018, Harcksen played one season for the club from Oosterhout, but after that one season, he returned to his former club Curacao Neptunus. With Twins, Harcksen posted a 6-6 record with a 3.72 ERA.

In the following four seasons with Neptunus, Misja posted a 19-6 record. He recorded the following ERAs:
2019: 1.95
2020: 2.57
2021: 3.27
2022: 2.52

In 2019, Harcksen pitched the third perfect game in the history of the Dutch hoofdklasse against… his former team, Oosterhout Twins.

In the past days, Oosterhout Twins announced more acquisitions for the 2024 Dutch Hoofdklasse season: RHP Jack Wagner, RHP Joost Terpstra and OF Wijnand Ruben.

Wagner pitched for Quick Amersfoort in 2023 where he posted a 1-5 record in seven starts with a 6.10 ERA.

Joost Terpstra pitched for Tridents, the farm team of Curacao Neptunus. According to Twins’ media officer Paul Bun, has decided to stay in Rotterdam with Tridents.

The third acquisition is another member of the Ruben family. Next to Berend and Marnix, now Wijnand Ruben will join Twins. The outfielder played for former hoofdklasse club Hawks from Dordrecht, last year playing in the Tweede Klasse (third-tier league).

Pitchers Jeffrey Levenstone and Jairo Samboe will not return to Twins in 2024, just like catcher Yurdion Martie.
