Fortitudo Bologna 17 – 1 Rouen Huskies
In a very lopsided game, Fortitudo Bologna was way too strong for their French opponent.
Two singles, a force out at second and a three-run home run, led to five runs for Bologna in the first inning. Rouen countered (a bit) when Auguste Guern scored as he stole home plate. But that was about all Rouen could do. In the following three innings, Bologna scored two, seven, and three runs. Only in the fifth, the Italian champion did not score. As a result, Bologna needed only five innings to finish the game.
Angelo Palumbo earned the win. In five innings, he gave up one run on seven hits and struck out three. Quentin Moulin took the loss. In 2.2 innings, he gave up fourteen runs on eight hits and six walks and struck out two. 
Three players of Bologna batted 1 for 1: Renzo Martini Parilli (with two RBI and three runs scored), Ernesto Paolo Liberatore (with four RBI and two runs scored), and Riccardo Bertossi.
The other two games, Curaçao Neptunus @ Heidenheim Heideköpfe and Parmaclima @ Arrows Ostrava were cancelled due to heavy rainfal.
