Jeandro Tromp to sign with Arizona Western
Dutch hoofdklasse player Jeandro Tromp has accepted an offer by Arizona Western College. He only needs to sign the agreement to become a Matador.

The 18-year old center fielder has received an offer by the college located in Yuma AZ. If Jeandro signs, he will be the sixth Dutchie that will become a Matador. The other Dutchies are Chris Koeiman (Curaçao), Luuk ter Beek, Delano Selassa, Angelo Wickert and Nolan Beugeling.
Originally from Zwolle, where he played for the Blue Hawks and won the Dutch Little League championship twice, Jeandro started to play for the Scimitars baseball academy in Bussum in 2012. This season, he is hitting .277 with 9 RBI. Jeandro is playing center field and is not a power hitter as he hit only one double this year.
In 2017, Tromp was part of the Dutch team that won the Pony League World Series. He was one of the best hitters as he batted a very respectable .444. In that same year, Jeandro debuted in the Dutch Hoofdklasse with HCAW from Bussum. Currently, Jeandro is attending the CTO sports school in Amsterdam.
Arizona Western has produced two Major League players with a lengthy career: Bengie Molina and Sergio Romo.
