Transfers of Quick Amersfoort, DSS, and Storks
So far, this blog did not mention the transactions of three clubs: Quick Amersfoort, DSS, and Storks. DSS did not acquire many players as not many left the team. But Quick Amersfoort and Storks made quite some roster moves.
DSS
The club from Haarlem acquired three new players. Lefthanded pitcher Nick Keur and catcher Sander Paap came from Hoofddorp Pioniers. Outfielder Koen Werkman comes from HCAW.
With Hoofddorp Pioniers,Nick Keur had twelve appearances of which eleven were starts. He posted a 3-3 record with a 5.12 ERA. Sander Paap didn’t really shine at the plate with a batting average of .143. But behind the plate, Sander did a decent job. He threw out 30% of the potential base stealers and had a fielding percentage of .990.
Koen Werkman played only two games with the flag ship team of HCAW. In those two games he collected one hit out of three at-bats.
Only five players left the club. Gijs Timmer left for Storks, Damian Melis left for Hoofddorp Pioniers and Thomas Bos and Sven van de Sanden returned to Kinheim. Levin Gabriëls decided to call it a career.

After 21 years Quick Amersfoort is back in the Dutch hoofdklasse. Even though the club earned the promotion, it realized it had to get some reinforcements to survive the 2018 season.
Most players that will join the ranks of Quick Amersfoort come from UVV or HCAW. Only one player comes from another club: Right handed pitcher Mark Kolner has left Tex Town Tigers from Enschede.
The players that left UVV are: Righ handed pitcher Jurjen van Zijl, catcher Rowan van Hoek, shorstop Jelle Blaauw, middle infielder Tijmen Takke and outfielder Rick Kuipers.
Jasper Popken, Rowan van Hoek and Rachid Engelhardt come from HCAW, though Jasper Popken has played for the farm team.
Right handed pitcher Dennis van den Bunt and Rowald Reemst left the club for Red Caps from Leusden. Right handed pitcher Jay-Jay Muller moved to HCAW to play in their farm team.
Bas de Jong and Carlos Leonord Ribalta decided to hang up their spikes.
Storks
After Storks from The Hague dominated the regular competition of the overgangsklasse, the team finished third in the standings of the promotion/relegation group which was enough to clinch a spot in the hoofdklasse for the 2018 season. But also Storks realized it had to go after reinforcements.
The team of manager Aldric Dunlop acquired the following players:
Right handed pitcher Darryl Jamoena from Hoofddorp Pioniers, right handed pitcher Chris Koeiman (Curaçao), right handed pitcher José Moreno from UVV, right handed pitcher Gijs Timmer from DSS, catcher Nick Nefs from Tridents (Curaçao Neptunus’ farm team), first base man Kendrick Delima (Rotterdam Orioles), utility man Aldi Guzman (the Hakws) and infielder Imco Rudolph (Euro Stars).
The following players left the club or decided to play at a lower level:
Tjibbe van Dijk (Blue Birds from Delft), first baseman Boudewin van Elswijk, infielder Kenny George and outfielder Randy van Hoek (all to the farm team of Storks).
