Donald Lutz returns to Brisbane Bandits
For the fourth time in his career, German international Donald Lutz will return to the Australian Baseball League. This stint will be his third with the Brisbane Bandits. His very first stint in the ABL was with the Canberra Cavalry.
The tall German outfielder played the 2017 season for the Bravos de Leon of the Mexican Baseball League (AAA level). With the Bravos, Lutz hit a decent .289 with an OBP of .378 and a slugging percentage of .316. Nevertheless, he was released shortly after the start of the season. He went on playing baseball with the Kansas City T-Bones of the independent American Association, but with that club, his stay did not last long as he was released on May 17.
