In the short event, chairman of the club Georffrey Kohl, who was also a successful pitcher with the club, reviewed the past season in which the club won the Dutch national title, the European Cup for club teams and was voted as sports team of the year in Rotterdam.

Kohl handed over the microphone to manager Evert Jan ‘t Hoen, who was manager of the year in Rotterdam. Van ‘t Hoen presented the new additions to the team.

One by one Van’t Hoen called the new players to step forward for their introduction.

The new players are:

Byron Cornelisse, who came from Vaessen Pioniers.
Dashenko Ricardo, who came from 2015 runner up Corendon Kinheim
Steven van Groningen, coming from HCAW from Bussum
Steven Wharwood, who came from demoted Mampaey the Hawks
Daniel Fernandes, also coming (back) from spending a year with Vaessen Pioniers.

Geoffrey Kohl stated that the club managed to find a third sponsor, another one from the island of Curacao: United foundation. According to Kohl, the club will chase the same goals as it did last year.

It is expected that with the biggest part of the team unchanged, that Neptunus will be the team to beat this year.

The nice part about this yearly presentation is that the players personally introduce themselves and mingle with the attendants. In this way the team is creating a good bond with its fan base.
