Rip and Walter fall short in Power Showcase final

In an event of which the presentation of the players didn’t go smoothly at times, Julian Rip and Fred Walter were announced after a downpour of rain, for which the presentation of the players was interrupted.

After some mechanical problems with the pitching machine, it was Julian Rip’s turn to hit as many home runs as possible.

After a rigid start, Julian got his groove but didn’t catch the leader who had four at that time. Julian collected three home runs of which the farthest was 403 feet.

French representative Fred Walter did not hit a home run even though he was close a few times.

Winner of the category Julian Rip and Fred Walter participated in became Justin Farmer, who belted six home runs.  Julian Rip ended in second place with three dingers.

Fred Walter received an award for most home runs in the preliminary round even though it was decided by a tie breaker that was decided by the longest homerun. Walter and Rip finished in a tie for first place in the preliminary round.

Despite the fact that both could did not win the whole thing, they left quite an impression by reaching the final round; something they can be very proud of.
