Dutchies in All Star Games: South Atlantic League ASG

Ozhaino Albies

Yesterday also the Sally League (South Atlantic League) had it’s yearly fan fest, this time in Asheville, NC.
One Dutchie received an invitation: Ozhaino Albies of the Rome Braves.
Albies played for the South Division All Stars and entered the game in the top of the sixth inning as a defensive substitution at shortstop.

By the time Albies entered the game, the South Division All Stars were trailing 7-3 already.
Ozhaino led off the sixth for his team and grounded out 6-3. In the top of the seventh, with runners on first and second with no outs, Albies caught a pop up hit by Josh Morgan (Hickory CrawDads) who was ruled out on an infield fly.
In the top of the eighth inning, Eddy Alvarez (Kanapolis Intimidators) grounded into a 6-4 force out.
In the bottom of the eighth, with Ozhaino at bat, Rafael Devers (Greenville Drive) stole second base, but Ozhaino struck out on a foul tip for the final out of the inning.
Eventually the South Division rallied for two more runs in the bottom of the ninth but their rally fell short when Johneshwy Fargas (Augusta GreenJackets) grounded out 5-3. The North Divison won the game 7-5.
