Fortitudo Bologna joins Euro League Baseball

Yesterday, the European Association of Professional Baseball announced that reigning Italian champion has joined the Euro
League of Baseball. This news comes two weeks after Czech champion, Draci Brno, announced to join the league as well.
Fortitudo Bologna won the qualifier tournament of the European Cup in Paris. Draci Brno was runner up in the other qualifier tournament in Rotterdam, where it lost to current Dutch champion Curacao Neptunus.
Bologna is the second team of the IBL that joins the the league next to T&A San Marino. Other members are Vaessen Pioniers, C.B. Barcelona, Sant Boi (both from Spain), Templiers de Sénart, Rouen Huskies (both from France) and Regensburg Legionäre (Germany), Draci Brno and Curacao Neptunus.
To reach the goal to have at least two teams from each participating country, the Czech Republic and Germany both have to add a team. In Germany the Heidenheim Heideköpfe were said to be interested, but they have decided not to join. When it comes to the Czech Republic it is
not clear yet which team will join Draci Brno.
Even though C.B. Barcelona and Sant Boi have joined the league, but announced that 2016 will be to early for them to play games.
