The Bowie BaySox beat the Erie SeaWolves 10-8. Sharlon Schoop saw the ball well as he
collected two basehits out of four at bats. He drove in two runs and scored a run himself.
The Frisco RoughRiders beat the Northwest Arkansas Naturals 7-3. Christopher Garia went 1 for 4 with a strikeout. Juan Carlos Sulbaran lasted five innings for the Naturals in which he
was hit hard. He allowed five runs on five hits, walked two and fanned seven. He got his second loss of the season (L 0-2, 5.40 ERA)
A Advanced
John Polonius entered the game during the third inning as a defensive substitution at second base. He hardly had entered the game or Tyler O’Neill stole second base with runners on the corners.
Polonius couldn’t catch the throw and the runner from third scored. Polonius went 0 for 2 as his batting average dropped to .083. The Bakersfield Blaze won 10-7 even though the San Jose Giants outhit them 10-7.
Carlton Daal went 0 for 4 with two strikouts as his Daytona Tortugas beat the Tampa Yankees.
Worth mentioning is that Carlton is still without errors.
A Full Season
Where Shawn Duinkerk didn’t collect a hit out of four at bats, Gianfranco Wawoe went 3 for 4 with a double, an RBI, a walk and a strikeout. Wawoe also stole his third base of the
season and made an unassistent double play. His Clinton LumberKings beat the Beloit Snappers 9-4.
The Hagerstown Suns cruised through nine innings as they kept Jiandido Tromp and his
Lakewood BlueClaws from scoring. Tromp went 0 for 4 in the 5-0 loss. This game was the only game that was completed yesterday in the South Atlantic League as the game between and the Charleston RiverDogs and the Savannah SandGnats was suspended at a 8-3 score. All other games were postponed due to heavy rainfall.
