My top ten list of MiLB caps

Some days there is not much to write about. On days like those I still want to write. So I thought it would be nice to show you my top ten of MiLB caps. Minor League caps are so much nicer than MLB caps.

Nr. 10  Fresno Grizzlies alternate cap

The Fresno Grizzlies used to be the AAA farm team of the San Francisco Giants. SInce their inauguration it has been this way until 2015. In the off season the Giants decided to move their AAA team to Sacramento. The Houston Astros jumped in to fill the void. I like this cap because of the colour scheme and the bear claw scratch that runs through the F.

Nr. 9  Modesto Nuts home cap
The Modesto Nuts are the A Advanced team of the Colorado Rockies. I like this cap for it’s simplicity. The peanut on the black background.

Nr. 8 Boise Hawks alternate cap
The Boise Hawks are the A short season team of the Colorado Rockies. I like the logo of this hawk claw holding a baseball. And the colour is a special kind of green that you do not see that often.

Nr. 7  Durham Bulls home cap
I like this one merely for sentimental reasons. I still love the movie Bull Durham. The logo is not really something special but I think this one is a must have.

Nr. 6  Eugene Emeralds alternate cap
Since two years the Eugene Emeralds have a new look. The previous look wasn’t that excitng but the new one really is. The cap shown is the alternate cap and it shows the E in a Big Foot foot shape.

Nr. 5  Myrtle Beach Pelicans alternate cap
Myrtle Beach
The Myrtle Beach Pelicans are the Cubs’ A Advanced farm team. I like this one better than their regular home cap which shows a yellow MB logo on the powder blue background.

Nr. 4  Everett AquaSox road cap
The Everett AquaSox are the A short season farm team of the Seattle Mariners. I like this road cap because the E refers to the trident logo that the Mariners once wore on their home cap.

Nr. 3  Staten Island Yankees alternate cap
Staten Island
The Staten Island Yankees are the Yankees’ A short season farm team. The team plays across the Hudson river in another part of New York city. I like the logo because of this interlocking S and I and the Yankee top hat and the bat that refer to the parent club.

Nr. 2  Corpus Christi Hooks home cap
The Corpus Christi Hooks are the AA team of the Houston Astros. I like this cap because of the colour scheme and the fishing hook that is shown on the front. Besides a link to the fishing industry a hook is also another name for curve ball.

Nr. 1  Rancho Cucamonga Quakes home cap
Rancho Cucamonga
The Rancho Cucamonga Quakes are the Dodgers’ A Advanced farm team just around the corner of Chavez Ravine. This cap shows a shaking Q and a crack in the lid, representing the vault that runs next to the stadium of the Quakes. To me this is the best Minor League cap by far.
