Friendly match between Samurai Japan and Europe confirmed

Early January I wrote an article on the subject already, but during the presentation of the schedule and logo of the premier twelve tournament, it was confirmed that a friendly match will be played between the best Japanese players and a selection of European (professional) players. The team will mainly contain Dutch and Italian players but also players from Germany, Spain and the Czech Republic will be part of it. Manager of the team will be the manager of the Dutch national team, Steve Janssen.

Probables will be Rick van den Hurk, Wladimir Balentien (pending his recovery from surgery), Loek van Mil and Alessandro Maestri.

The European team will head to Japan to play a two game series on March 10 and 11 at the Tokyo Dome . Hopefully these games will be aired somewhere. Night games in Japan are more suitable to watch for Europeans than MLB night games.
