Dutchies around the World 2018

In this episode of Dutchies around the World, we pay attention to Jonathan Schoop, Darren Seferina, Kevin Josephina, Gianfranco Wawoe and Phildrick Llewellyn.

MLB
It is not clear if he is influenced by the poor performance of the Baltimore Orioles, whoAfbeeldingsresultaat voor Jonathan Schoop currently own the worst record in all of MLB, but Jonathan Schoop is struggling at the plate this season. So far his batting average has not topped .250 and currently, it is standing at .209. In the month of June he is hitting a sub-par .143. His .209 stands in marked contrast with the .293 of last year.
In 49 games at second base, the Curaçao native committed five errors, leading to a .979 fielding percentage. He also played two games at shortstop in which he remained perfect.

AA
Darren Seferina After Darren Seferina was released by the Springfield/St. Louis Cardinals on May 5th, he was picked up by the Milwaukee Brewers, who sent him to their AA team in Biloxi. After having spent nine days at the DL, he was reactivated on June 16.
In thirteen games with the Shuckers, Darren could not impress at the plate so far as he hits a sub-par .125 (three hits in twenty-four at-bats). So far the 24-year old second baseman from Curaçao is playing perfect defense with the Shuckers.

A Advanced
Curaçao native Kevin Josephina has been struggling at A Advanced level so far. With theAfbeeldingsresultaat voor Kevin Josephina Florida FireFrogs of the Florida State League, he has been playing only nine games in which he collected four hits out of thirty-four at-bats. His best game was his last vs the St. Lucy Mets in which he went 2 for 4. Of the nine games he played, he was DH in three of them. In five games, Darren played at second base and in one game he played at third base. At both positions, he played flawlessly. Due to the recent draft, has been taken from the roster and is assigned to a new level, according to his player page.

Independent
Gianfranco WawoeAfter he wasn’t re-signed by the Seattle Mariners and no other MLB team showed interest in him, Gianfranco Wawoe decided to play indy ball as he signed a deal with the New Jersey Jackals of the CanAm League. Wawoe is now the second player of the Dutch Kingdom in the CanAm League, next to Kalian Sams (Quebec Capitales).
But so far, Gianfranco hasn’t played a single game as he is placed on the inactive list. One can only guess for the reason behind it.

Italian Serie A1
Currently, Phildrick Lewellyn is one of four players from the Dutch kingdom that areAfbeeldingsresultaat voor Phildrick Llewellyn playing in Italy. With the development of youth players lacking, the Italian clubs turned to players from the Netherlands and its overseas territories.
Phildrick joined the ranks of the current Italian champion A.S.D. Rimini.
Yesterday in the doubleheader vs Nettuno Baseball City, Phildrick went 2 for 5 in the first game and 0 for 2 in the second. But despite the good numbers in the first game of the doubleheader, Phildrick doesn’t really impress at the plate with a batting average of .184.
