Dutchies around the world, part 4

In this week’s edition of Dutchies around the world we pay attention to Didi Gregorius, Jurickson Profar, Jiandido Tromp, Darren Seferina, Carter Kieboom and Roger Bernadina.

Didi Gregorius
Afbeeldingsresultaat voor Didi GregoriusLast Friday, Didi made his return on the MLB diamonds. And what a return it was. In his first game after coming off the DL, Didi went 2 for 5 with a double and a RBI. Since his return, Didi has collected 8 hits out of 24 at bats. So far Didi did not commit any fielding error. He has shown his great fielding and great arm several times already.

Jurickson Profar
After a disappointing start of the season, in which the Curaçaoan utility player only hit .135, he was benched but only a few days later, Jurickson was sent down to the Rangers’ AAA affiliate in Round Rock.
With the Round Rock Express, Jurickson played two games so far, but his hitting woes continue as he collected just one hit (a double) in eight at-bats.
In the two games with the Express, Jurickson played at his natural position of shortstop.

Jiandido Tromp
After his promotion to the Reading Fighting Phils (AA affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies), Jiandido had some mixed results at bat. Over his last ten games, the Aruban left fielder is hitting a respectable .294 as his seasonal average stands at .268.
Tromp, not known as a power hitter has hit three home runs so far. He also legged out a triple and five doubles. His defense is still flawless as he did not commit an error yet.

Darren Seferina
After Darren spent all of the 2016 season with the A-Advanced Palm Beach Cardinals, Darren started the 2017 season at the same level. Darren hit .247 in 2016, but so far his numbers stay behind those of the previous season as he hits .211. The second baseman of Curaçao collected 15 hits in 71 at bats with three doubles, three triples and four RBI.
In the eleven games that Darren played at second base, he committed two errors (.960 fielding percentage). At third base (five games) he played without committing an error.

Carter KieboomAfbeeldingsresultaat voor Carter Kieboom
Carter Kieboom is having a helluva first full season. After being drafted last year by the Nationals, he played Gulf Coast League. This year he started the season at A Full Season with the Hagerstown Suns. Last week Carter even made the main page of MLB.com as he went 5 for 7 with three home runs and five RBI. The shortstop of the Suns his currently hitting .337. In 22 games, Carter committed 3 errors (.969).

Roger Bernadina
Roger is having an unstable season with the Kia Tigers so far. He had a streak of six games in which he collected one hit per game at least with one game in which he went 3 for 5. His batting average currently stands at .255.
