Dutchies in the minor leagues: Saturday, May 2

At AAA level two of the three Dutchies were on the DL (Roger Bernadina and Jair Jurrjens), but Roger Bernadina played his first game since his stay on the DL yesterday.

Roger Bernadina went 3 for 5 with a double, two RBI, a run scored and a strikeout. So he contributed in a big way to his Albuquerque Isotopes 12-10 win over the Salt Lake Bees.

Matt den Dekker played with the Syracuse Chiefs vs the Columbus Clippers. In four at bats he did not collect a hit. The Chiefs rallied in the ninth for two runs and the walk off 7-6 win.

At AA level, there are several Dutchies on the DL as well. Randolph Oduber (Harrisburg Senators) and Shawn Zarraga (Tulsa Drillers) are on the 7-Day DL. No Dutchie had some playing time yesterday.

A Advanced

The Daytona Tortugas are doing well so far this season. They’re in a two game lead over the Tampa Yankees. Last night they beat the Brevard County Manatees 6-4. Carlton Daal went 1 for 4 but still managed to get on base thanks to a fielding error. He also stole a base.
