Groups set for 2015 European Cup for clubs

From June 1st through June 7th 2015, the European Cup will be played in Paris and Rotterdam.

The following teams will play in Paris at the home field of PUC (Paris Université Club):

L&D Amsterdam Pirates (Netherlands)
PUC Paris (France)
T&A San Marino (San Marino)
Morth Stars Moscow (Russia)
Solingen Alligators (Germany)
Fortitudo Bologna (Italy)

The followng teams will play at the Neputunus Family Stadium in Rotterdam:

Heidenheim Heidekoepfe (Germany)
KNTU Elizavetgrad (Ukraine)
Templiers Senart (France)
Curaçao Neptunus Rotterdam (Netherlands)
A.S.D. Rimini (Italy)
Draci Brno (Czech Republic)

The drawing was made by the technical commission of the Confederation of European Baseball.

Of the two Dutch participants L&D Amsterdam Pirates has the toughest drawing with two participants of the Italian League (T&A San Marino and Fortitudo Bologna, the current Italian champion). L&D Amsterdam Pirates had a lot of changes on their roster after the transfer deadline on December 1st, so it is hard to tell what their chances are right now.

The only serious opponent of Curaçao Neptunus is A.S.D. Rimini Pirates. Curaçao Neptunus kept it’s roster in tact, so they have a good chance to win the group in Rotterdam.
